“The hardest thing for me was letting go of all the little bits and pieces you accumulate over the years. They might not have any family history, or personal significance, but they are yours and hard to say goodbye to. Having said that though, once you do get past the letting go phase, it is very liberating to shed yourself of all the stuff. You are no longer responsible for it, and that feels good.”

“Also, it is very difficult to say goodbye to neighbours, friends and family if you are moving away. But I did learn that your true friends and close neighbours will keep in touch, visit and still be there for you. You also have the opportunity in your new home to make new friends and expand your horizons.”
